Back in 2019, p3 co-founder, Morgan Myer, was researching the Carnegie Hero Fund, a commission that awards individuals in the US and Canada who risk death or serious injury to save the lives of others, when he came across the story of Ezra Kidder.

This life-long Mainer was awarded The Carnegie Medal back in 2002 for saving a baby from a burning trailer. This incredible story stayed with Morgan and sent him on a journey to examine how an act of heroism would change a person, how do they cope and why are some people, against all odds, able to confront the ultimate fear and put their lives at risk for a complete stranger?

“Somebody’s Hero” is a study of heroism at its most elemental. Thank you Ezra for sharing your story and thank you Nathan Gilliss, Lindsay Mann, Sven Fahlgren and so many others for helping to bring this project to life.
