The Trail Blazers were ready to go ALL IN for Giannis Antetokounmpo. 😳
According to Jake Fischer, Portland was prepared to give up as many as four years of first-round draft capital at the trade deadline in an attempt to land the Bucks superstar.
The craziest part?
They were willing to do it without knowing whether Giannis would sign a long-term extension.
However, that aggressive pursuit has reportedly cooled, as Portland has since been led to believe that an extension would be unlikely.
A massive gamble that never happened. 👀
