Here's some behind the scenes fun from our latest project. We're honored that 360 Labs had the opportunity to capture this positive story about public lands. The Minam River Wildlife area is over 17,000 acres connected directly to Oregon’s 365,000 acre Eagle Cap Wilderness. Having this place in the hands of the public and protected means elk and other wildlife can thrive. They see anywhere from 300 to 1,000 head of elk on the property in a given day. This also brings money into the local economy from hunters, hikers, anglers, rafters, and more.
We spent 5 days there with the Oregon Department of Forestry and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, capturing immersive 360 video in stereoscopic 3D. We saw elk, deer, turkeys, bears, and even heard wolves howl. We were even fortunate enough to catch a rare aurora event with our nightlapse camera.
We’re working on an immersive video about how this wildlife area came to be, and how Oregon plans to manage it in the future. Can't wait to get back out there some day!
