Our latest immersive video is now available! Minam River 360: An Immersive Field Tour in VR explores an ambitious public lands acquisition, nearly 17,000 acres in the foothills of the Wallowa Mountains are now in public hands. This place is an amazing habitat where elk and other species can thrive, and provides another access point to the Eagle Cap Wilderness.
360 Labs worked with the Oregon Department of Forestry, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to document this project, which is part of the Forest Legacy Program. The program's aim is to preserve forests and wildlife habitats, while maintaining non-motorized public access. Local recreation provides economic opportunities for the state. Since its creation in 1990, the program has conserved over 3 million acres of forest land and expanded across the country to 53 states and territories.
This immersive video is a valuable tool for Oregon's Forestry and Fish & Wildlife Departments to easily bring the remote wilderness to the legislators and policymakers to see the benefits of this investment in the future of Oregon's wilderness.
You can explore this beautiful landscape in stunning 8K stereoscopic 3D 360 video on YouTube VR, and learn more about how this project came to be.
