Today is the day of the Peoples Climate March. In 1952, the Great Smog killed 4,000 Londoners during the 4 days it lasted. 8,000 more people died in the following weeks as a direct result. The Great Smog induced the UK parliament to pass the first major environmental legislation, the Clean Air Act of 1956. When we do not regulate and restrict humans' environmental impact, there are dire costs.

Thank you so much to our Portland community and beyond who showed incredible support last night. The raffle alone brought in over $300 and we haven't even gotten to the bar proceeds yet! It is truly inspiring to witness people showing up and believing in our mission. Thanks to Dig A Pony! Thanks to Scott Osgood! Thanks to our raffle prize donors! And most importantly, thanks to our friends and supporters who took time out of their Saturday to support Nightingale.
