So day 2 of Tilly sitting on her eggs. She pushed the one random Celedon egg away. I managed to put a small food dish near her so she doesn’t have to get up and will put a water one there. Lmk if there is anything else I should do I’ve never had a broody before!

These are my Mearans babies! We had 6 hatch I botched the incubation big time so 6 out of the 10 (2 were shrink wrapped 😭) is a great rate on shipped eggs. This experience is a great push for why you want to calibrate your incubator and secondary thermometers before incubating and then don’t have an urgent work meeting during lock down that forces you out of town. These little ones had a will to live though they were even unplugged for 12 hours. So goes to show- never give up on your hatch — even if you do everything wrong something can still come out of it
