MVA Lebanon, ME at Center Rd and Jim Grant Rd. Multiple pts, multiple ambulances called. -268.
Gebung Road Alfred, 3rd Alarm fire.
Units received multiple 911 calls reporting a fire at the address causing AFD to request the first alarm before the first unit arrived. The initial units arrived and a 2nd and 3rd alarm were struck in quick succession. The main body of fire was in the garage located on side 4 of the building and Alfred Fire along with mutual aid companies focused on the attached house. Because they focused on the house instead of the garage, the fire crews made an incredible stop.
OK, so not southern Maine, or even New England, but I took a little road trip and got some Firehouse pics to share in Pennsylvania.

Here's a throwback post of a brush fire in No Berwick, ME in the early 80s (82-83). The photos are from our friend Mike Sanborn from Yorktown, VA. Mike was an NBFD member until 1985 and was one of the first 6 Jr FFs in town. In the pics are E2, a 1969 IH/Maxim 750/500, F1, a 1953 REO 300/900 6X6 (was at Sanford Fire prior to NOBO and was owned by the Dept of Forestry), and the Maine Forest Ranger's truck (Ranger Steve Harding). Thanks again to Mike for allowing us to use his pics.
Please keep Firefighter Brian Flood’s family and the Somerswoth Fire Dept in your thoughts during this very hard/sad time.
It is with great sadness we share the news of the sudden passing of our brother, Firefighter Brian Flood. Brian joined the Somersworth Professional Firefighters on January 2nd, 2019 and was most recently assigned to A Shift following years with B Shift. This is a tremendous loss for us here at 2320 and the fire service in general, as Brian was a true firefighter and brother to us all. A US Marine Corp combat veteran, Brian clearly committed his life to helping others. May you forever rest in peace brother, as you have done more than enough for others.
Please keep your thoughts and prayers with Brian’s family and friends as we all transition through this tragic time.
