Remember that nest of Killdeer eggs I found a few weeks ago?
Today was hatching day!
One bird was already gone, the second just leaving, one egg is actively hatching, and the last is patiently waiting it's turn.

Neat thing about baby Killdeer, they are precocial. They are born with their downy feathers and eyes open. As soon as they are dry, they are up and running around.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a few more shots of them running around before they leave the nest in a few weeks. 🤞🏼

This time local! If you haven't stopped by Cat Tales since they moved to the bigger building you are missing out! Books, cats, crystals, stickers, and great energy! Check out the vintage book area for a more moody vibe.
