🎆 How to Watch the Friends of Portsmouth Light Up the Sky Fireworks! 🎆

There are TWO great ways to catch the show tonight!

🎶 Come inside Spartan Stadium and enjoy a full evening of live music, food trucks, and vendors before the fireworks! Entry is just $5/person — gates open at 5PM, and fireworks blast off around 10:15PM.

🚗 Prefer to stay in your car or watch from nearby? No problem! You can still enjoy the fireworks from outside the stadium. They’ll be launched from the Little League fields near Branch Rickey Park (please stay off the fields for safety!).

However you watch, it’s going to be an unforgettable night! 🇺🇸

The Minford and Wheelersburg Softball games that were originally scheduled for today have been postponed and have been rescheduled for Sunday. Wheelersburg will play Wellston Sunday at 2:00 in a Division 5 Regional Final and West will play Sugarcreek Garaway Sunday at 5:00 in a Division 6 Regional Final. Both of those games will be at Ohio University in Athens. You’ll be able to hear both on WNXT2 which can be heard on The Local Happenings App. Just go to The Local Happenings App, click “Live Radio”, then click the WNXT2 logo. The Local Happenings App is a free download for The App Store. Sunday’s coverage will begin at 1:45.

As for another softball game of interest… Notre Dame and Symmes Valley’s game has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 1:30. That will be at Groveport Madison High School.

As for local baseball games slated today, Paul Boggs of The Portsmouth Daily Times is reporting the following…

Today's baseball game at Logan has been postponed. Rescheduled for tomorrow at Logan
At 10:00am. That’s Green v. Trimble. Winner will play District Final Sunday 2:00p at Chillicothe Paints VA Stadium.

Symmes Valley-Southeastern baseball postponed to tomorrow, 11am at the VA.

Baseball ⚾️ Division 5 district championships at Ohio University for Friday now postponed and reset for Saturday. Minford vs Ironton at 3 pm and Valley vs Wheelersburg at 6 pm.

You have to make sure you tune in tomorrow at 8:30 in the morning!! Investigative reporter Duane Pohlman with WKRC TV out of Cincinnati will be on the show to talk about the history of radiation contamination in our region! Proud of worked on this topic for a number of years, but this guy, has really put in the time, energy and effort!! The Town Hall meeting in Piketon is this weekend and we cover that as well!
NO ONE in our region wants to miss this!
