Women Crush Wednesday: 9 years ago on today, then I became a statistic. According to the US Census Bureau, only 1.2% of the US population has a PhD. The number of black women from an urban city is so little that I can’t even produce the number. I thank God for making me a statistic. A statistic that represents Portsmouth to the fullest. A statistic whose life has been divided into 3 main areas which is Education, Incarceration and Manifestion. A statistic that will never give up on helping other statistics. A statistic so great that in 2023, then she became a high school commencement speaker in Florida and was quoting Nas. Today, I’m proud to be a statistic from Portsmouth and no one can ever take that away from me. I’m your favorite doctor, Dr. Jaclyn Teresa Walker AKA Dr. Diva Barbie! This is a message to anyone who is a statistic, make your numbers count. The sky is the limit!

Forever Friday: Today marks 3 years that my bonus mom, Ms. Jennifer has been in Heaven! It’s been a difficult 3 years without you as I was so used to me calling you, going out to dinner or even just seeing your face. I told Man that regardless of my relationship with him, then I would never let your legacy die. That’s why we created a scholarship and closet in your honor:

The Jennifer Jones "Don't Quit" Scholarship Application
Established in 2014, Glamour Prestige is a woman owned consulting firm devoted to fulfilling educational dreams. In the year of 2020, then they established the Jennifer Jones "Don't Quit" Scholarship in honor of Ms. Jennifer Jones who died unexpectedly in February of 2020. Ms. Jones' motto was "Don't Quit" and she lived that motto on a daily basis.
Applicants must be:
*A female high school senior who is a resident of the Hampton Roads area of Virginia *Planning to enroll or already enrolled in an apprenticeship program with one of the local shipyards and a local community college or enrolled in any college and working at one of the local shipyards
*Able to write an essay in 500 words or more on how the "Don't Quit" poem inspires you not to quit when life gets hard.
Scholarship:
*One-time (non-renewable) $500 scholarship
*Graduation box (valued at over $100)
*Pop-up/drive-by schoalrship parade in your honor with surprise guests

We also created Jennifer’s Closet which is a partnership with The MAN Foundation and the Portsmouth Sheriff's Office has created Jennifer’s Closet. Jennifer’s Closet is dedicated to one of our founding members, Ms. Jennifer Jones (who died unexpectedly in February of 2020)is designed to help currently incarcerated individuals and returning citizens with clothing. Clothing will be used for re-entry events such as graduation, Shark Tank, Santa’s Workshop and Mother’s & Father’s Day dances. The clothing will also be used when the returning citizens are released from the facility and need clothing for job interviews and work clothes. We will collect new and/or gently used clothing at certain parts of the year.

TODAY, February 7, 2022 would have been Rie's 40th birthday, so on today Net is dropping a book in her memory!!

Anonymous stated, “Side by side, or miles apart, sisters will always be connected by the heart.” This quote embodies the essence of the relationship that sisters have with each other especially Ronnette and Cherie Reenee.

This book comes shortly after Cherie Reenee’s death! Cherie passed away at the age of 38 leaving an amazing legacy through her family and friends. Cherie was an activist that also enjoyed reading and advocating for her specific passions and causes.

She couldn’t let her sister’s legacy die, so this book is meant to encourage and relive memories of what daily life was like for both of them. This book will make you laugh and cry and is will be used as a tool to remember to always make memories with your family and friends that will last a lifetime.

Women Crush Wednesday: Today is Wednesday and the 1st of September and I chose to crush on myself. For the last 6 years, then I’ve been a motivational speaker, moderator and guest speaker for a plethora of events especially for my Vision sessions. Well, today I’m crushing on me because I’ve elevated from speaking with those with millionaire mindsets and purses to those with billionaire mindsets and connections. Come out and hear your girl in the ATL with several other amazing speakers and hosted by 2 amazing women on 9/25!

I thank God for taking this Cabbage Patch from Portsmouth, Virginia to stages with millionaires and billionaires in another state. It’s also amazing because I’m in Atlanta the week before speaking for all the urban school boards in the US with my 2 sisters, The Honorable Lakeesha Klu Atkinson and Dr. Velvet Smith!
