On this day in 2014 the Mr. Throwback Thursday Podcast was born. It was Jamie, it was Bill, it was 2 Playstation headsets, it was a spotty Skype connection, and it was a beginning. The beginning of an insane journey that neither of us ever expected.

What we set out to do was make sure we set aside time to talk with each other once a week. What would we talk about? Our favorite thing to talk about whenever we got together; old school hip hop! We noticed that, in the infancy of podcasting, there were no shows where two guys who grew up listening to 1980s hip hop were talking about it.

As a matter of fact, no one was really out there celebrating those artists, or telling people when they were dropping new music, or making TV shows, or anything. We wanted to be the voice that let everyone know that real hip hop was still alive, and the artists we grew up listening to were still out there.

Now, 12 years later, we have a world-wide Posse, we have interviewed many of our heroes, we are on three radio stations, and we are still here every single Thursday, making sure that we catch up with each other, like we set out to do. For everyone who has listened, whether for 12 years, or 12 minutes, we thank you all.
