How can you tell if you have a pelvic organ prolapse?

Can you tell on my models what is prolapsing?

I’ve had a handful of ladies come in thinking they had a prolapse and they didn’t!😱😳

Would you be interested in learning how to check yourself? My idea is to make a video on “how to check to see if you have a prolapse”🤣 creative right?

you should make a “prolapse model”😃

Meet Dr. Kailie Denham, DPT

Hello! I grew up on a small farm in Elk, Washington. I graduated from Riverside High School in Deer Park, WA where I played tennis and soccer. When I was 15 years old I tore my ACL playing soccer and had reconstructive surgery. It was during my rehabilitation that I discovered physical therapy. I received my bachelors degree in 2004 from Eastern Washington University in Human Biology and then went on to graduate school at Eastern Washington University, where I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007. I have worked in the geriatric setting for 10 years, but it wasn't until 2014 when I became pregnant with my first child, that I discovered my true passion in the area of women's health.

A textbook pregnancy followed by an almost perfect vaginal delivery should leave me with a perfect, uncomplicated, postpartum experience, right? Wrong!!!! Soon after delivery of my daughter, I discovered that I had stress urinary incontinence, diastasis re**us abdominis and a symptomatic grade 2-3 cystocele. I immediately began my own pelvic rehabilitation and further continuing education. It's been almost 3 years and I have no stress urinary incontinence, my diastasis is functional and I have no symptoms of a prolapse. Most of my improvement came in the first 2 years.

I am a pelvic floor physical therapist dedicated to women. I want to empower you through education. I feel that postpartum education and care for women is severely lacking and I am striving to change this in my community. I have continued education from Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, Julie Wiebe, PT and Diane Lee, PT to name a few. I treat pelvic dysfunction including but not limited to prolapse, pelvic pain, bowel and bladder incontinence and diastasis re**us abdominis in pregnancy, postpartum and the athletic female. When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, CrossFit, backpacking, rock climbing and anything outdoors with my husband and daughter. I give glory to God for this amazing opportunity and my many blessings. I look forward to supporting you while helping you reach your goals!

Thank you, Kailie
