Outlook Newspaper The Outlook is the official newspaper of its hometown, Monona, Iowa, as well as the neighboring community of Luana.

The Outlook is the official newspaper of its hometown, Monona, Iowa, as well as the neighboring communities of Farmersburg and Luana, as well as the MFL MarMac school district. The offices of The Outlook are located at 116 West Center Street in downtown Monona. The weekly newspaper is published every Wednesday and is available by subscription, in the office and at local newsstands. Started in 1999

, The Outlook has experienced a number of owners throughout the years. Since January 2015, Mid-America Publishing, headquartered in Hampton, Iowa, has owned and published The Outlook. Mid-America Publishing owns 24 newspapers and shoppers in Iowa. They include weeklies from neighboring communities Postville (The Herald) and Calmar (The Courier) as well as communities farther afield like Grundy Center and Keota.

Garden View Place is going to be converting some of their current assisted living units into memory care units. Though they will still be offering assisted living services, Garden View Place Executive Director Jerica Miller says there is a high demand for memory care services in both Monona and northeast Iowa in general, so they are adding more memory care units to better meet people's needs.
