Outlook Newspaper The Outlook is the official newspaper of its hometown, Monona, Iowa, as well as the neighboring community of Luana.

The Outlook is the official newspaper of its hometown, Monona, Iowa, as well as the neighboring communities of Farmersburg and Luana, as well as the MFL MarMac school district. The offices of The Outlook are located at 116 West Center Street in downtown Monona. The weekly newspaper is published every Wednesday and is available by subscription, in the office and at local newsstands. Started in 1999

, The Outlook has experienced a number of owners throughout the years. Since January 2015, Mid-America Publishing, headquartered in Hampton, Iowa, has owned and published The Outlook. Mid-America Publishing owns 24 newspapers and shoppers in Iowa. They include weeklies from neighboring communities Postville (The Herald) and Calmar (The Courier) as well as communities farther afield like Grundy Center and Keota.

The MFL MarMac Bulldog Girls Cross Country team is headed to state for the first time in 30 years! The team placed third at the district meet in Oelwein Thursday night! Charlotte Meyer also qualified as an individual, finishing in 11th place. Way to go, Bulldogs!!

The state meet will take place in Fort Dodge next Friday, October 31st with the Girls Class 2A race starting at 10:30 AM.
