My son was only 3 years old on 9/11. And as I stood at work watching the television in disbelief, I had one thought: I need to go get my baby. ❤️

I was working at the bank when someone came out of the break room and told us we needed to come see what was happening.

We gathered around the TV, watching in shock.

At first, it didn’t even feel real. It felt like a bad dream we were all waiting to wake up from.

But as I watched, everything in me wanted to get to my son.

I wanted to hold him. Love him. Keep him close.

And today, more than two decades later, I still remember that feeling.

Because so many families didn’t get the opportunity to hold their loved ones again that day.

Today, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and a day that changed our nation forever. 🇺🇸

May we never become so removed from history that we forget the people who lived it.

We remember. We honor. We pray for the families who still carry the weight of that day.

Never forget. 🇺🇸❤️

Do you remember where you were on September 11, 2001?

Praying 🙏🏼 for you tonight!

Not all storms ⛈️ come to disrupt your life, some come to clear a path.

Whatever storm ⛈️ you’re walking through…God is in the midst of it with you. Lean into him and keep your faith.

Sis, what if the life you’ve been praying for requires you to stop thinking like the woman you used to be?

You can change your surroundings.
Change your routine.
Set new goals.
Walk through new doors.

But if you carry the same fearful, defeated, limited thinking into your new season… eventually, you’ll recreate the old one.

Because before you can master a new way to BE, you have to master a new way to THINK.

Maybe you’ve spent years telling yourself:

“I’m not good enough.”
“Nothing ever works out for me.”
“I’ll probably fail anyway.”
“I could never do that.”
“This is just who I am.”

But sis… who told you those thoughts were truth?

God’s Word says: “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

Transformation begins in your thinking.

You start catching the thoughts that keep pulling you backward.

You stop agreeing with every lie fear whispers.

You stop rehearsing the worst-case scenario and start reminding yourself of what God has said.

And little by little, you begin to live differently.

So let’s make this practical.
Before you go to bed tonight, do these 3 things:

1. Write down the ONE negative thought you’ve been repeating most lately.

2. Underneath it, write ONE Scripture that tells you what God says instead.

3. Choose ONE action you’ve been avoiding because of that old thought and put it on your calendar for tomorrow.

Send the email.
Make the phone call.
Submit the application.
Go for the walk.
Set the boundary.
Start the first page.
Make the appointment.
Take the first 10-minute step toward the thing you keep saying you “can’t” do.

Then, before you do it, read your Scripture out loud and pray:

“Lord, I’m choosing to move according to Your truth, not my fear. Give me courage for this next step.”

And then do the thing. Even with shaky hands. Even if you don’t feel completely ready.

Because sometimes renewing your mind looks like giving your feet new instructions.

Now don’t just save this post and keep scrolling.

Before today ends, decide what your ONE faith step will be.

Write it down.
Put a time beside it.
Pray over it.
And tomorrow follow through.

Sis, imagine what could change if you stopped waiting to feel fearless and started taking one faith-filled step at a time.

Your next season doesn’t need a fearless version of you. It needs a faithful one.💕

Sis, you don’t have to fight every battle in your own strength. Some battles require you to stand still, pray, and let God be God.🔥
