I wonder how many hours she spent watching us sleep when we were little?? I know I loved watching my Kids sleep, I am sure she did the same. 😴💤🛌
I sit here rocking, 💺
remembering how she would put a heating pad on her shoulder when I had my horrible earaches, and rock me to try and keep the pain away.

I could tell 1000 stories.
I could also tell 1000 hardship stories…

mothers and daughters are a complicated energy. I hope each generation breaks more of the old patterns, learns how to lift up and heal more than they condemn and criticize. I remember sitting in the same place mid twenties, with my toddler daughter, mom and grandmother in the bed.

Yes, it is causing a bit of an existential crisis.
It is also sending me to the gym, creating the need to research brain health with more voracity, and making me consider dumping a lot of things that cause stress.

I am struggling balancing what brings me joy, as it also brings me considerable stress.

Also, we are listening to childhood westerns which are offensive on so many levels!!🤠🤷‍♀️

Happy Easter! This has always been my favorite Christian holiday. I think its because it sings of eternal optimism, of new beginnings and of Hope! It was appropriated from Pagans, like most of Christianity; it is now a time where so many “christians” are behaving completely opposite the teachings of Christ. I am here to share a couple photos to remind us ALL that WE are here because of our immigrant history. This belonged to my great-grandfather. A reminder that we have all come from struggles. We are about 150 years later and so many are looking at the same thing. Leaving a country for a better life. Everything seems upside down. We are NOT the first to face these challenges, we have just gotten used to life one way.
