I feel like I’ve been so disconnected from this page for months. I looked at my last post and it was in MARCH 🤦🏼‍♀️
Here’s where I am in life…
After being laid off from my position in the staffing industry in October 2024, then having a horrendously painful surgery in December, I started my new job in a new field at the end of March. I am happy to announce I am the SVP and RGO for a prominent office furniture solutions company called Kershner Office Furniture in the Philadelphia area. We support small and large businesses throughout the country, so if anyone needs assistance with office furniture (from concept and design to ordering, installation, and maintenance, send me a message).
In April, I took my goofball husband on a surprise bucket list vacation to see all of Arizona. As a man who loves rocks, geology, history, and more, he had a book since childhood that had Horseshoe Bend on the cover. He dreamt of seeing it in person. I made that happen!
While on the trip, we built a business plan, came home, he left his job as COO for a masonry company in the Philadelphia area, and I opened Tuscarora Custom, LLC. He was my first hire, and our oldest son and daughter quickly followed behind. We are woman-owned, family fueled. We are certified, insured, registered, and qualified to tackle the coolest custom projects! We do tile - including mosaic - stonework, brickwork, landscape design, concrete… everything - inside and out).
In May, (as if we’re not busy enough), the hubs and I accepted the role of Weekend Houseparents for Milton Hershey School! We arrive on Friday evenings and provide all things love, care, parenting, and family to 7 elementary aged girls until Sunday night. We are off for the summer and start back up in August.
No. I don’t sleep. I barely find time to breathe! I am always open to talking to new clients, though, about achieving their goals, whether through social media networking or offering consulting services and mentorship.

This is HUGE for my career, my family, and my community!
I am proud to announce that I have been selected as a finalist to receive the WoW: Women of Work Trailblazer Award!
When I think about what it means to be a trailblazer, I think about everything I had to overcome and every challenge I accepted to get where I am today. Whether paralyzed and finding the strength to beat my illness and walk again, or rising from a struggling single mom to achieve career excellence, or seeing injustices and issues within the educational system and running for and sitting on the Board of Education, to co-founding a women's empowerment cohort, to starting programs to assist with adult education and creating programs to address food deserts during COVID, to creating a holiday toy and gift initiative that supports my community, and so much more, I view being considered a trailblazer as an honor and one I will not simply admire. I plan to continue to champion for my colleagues, my community, my company, and my country.

If you’re anything like me, summer requires ice cream. Lots of ice cream.
Unfortunately, I have a wicked sweet tooth and I can easily replace all meals with desserts. It’s especially hard in the summer when all I want is cookie dough ice cream in a waffle cone with sprinkles!
But I didn’t just drop over 30+ lbs for nothing…
Yasso to the rescue! I have now indulged in the Pistachio Brittle, Chocolate Fudge, and, of course, Cookie Dough.
The first two are only 80 calories, the last one is 100. These are made with greek yogurt and lots of healthy goodness. There’s no “fake” taste or aftertaste. They’re absolutely delicious!
If you’re on WW, they’re 3-5 points, with some flavors being more (but I don’t buy those).
