Congratulations to Hannah Aungst, our Fanelli, Evans & Patel Athlete of the Week!

Aungst, a senior, played a major role in helping Pine Grove capture its second consecutive PIAA Class 3A Softball Championship. The senior went 7-for-13 (.538) at the plate during the Cardinals' four-game state playoff run, scoring five runs while collecting two doubles, two triples, a home run and seven RBIs. She also added five stolen bases as Pine Grove completed another championship season and cemented its place among the top programs in Pennsylvania softball.

Track Update:
Blue Mountain High School's Chase Guers placed 30th in the Championship Boys' 100 meters Thursday at the New Balance National Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Penn's Franklin Field in Philadelphia. His time was 10.73 seconds.

Guers will compete in Saturday's Championship 200 meters, which starts at 12:30 p.m.

Schuylkill Haven Athletics' Brody Walchak, who is listed as competing for Byrd Sports Performance, will compete in the Freshman Boys' 110 hurdles Saturday at 3:58 p.m.
