Residents of Northeast Pennsylvania have been feeling the heat, thanks to more humidity than usual this summer.

The region has had many days this summer in the 80s and 90s, but the humidity, which has reached into the mid-60s and 70s, has made it feel hotter, Tom Kines, a senior meteorologist at AccuWeather, said Friday.

Nighttime lows in particular have been warmer than average, he said. The lows normally average 58 degrees, but have been as high as 65 degrees.
