is a state you can drive across in just a few hours, but still kayak through bald cypress forests, experience NASCAR weekend at Dover Motor Speedway, hike coastal trails, relax on the beach AND do some tax free shopping in beautiful small towns…all in one trip.

There was still so much we didn’t get to do and I already want to go back!

🏎️ If you’re hoping to experience NASCAR, plan around race weekends at Dover Motor Speedway

🛶 Trap Pond is best experienced by kayak. You can rent them there or bring your own

🌊 Cape Henlopen is an easy beach stop before heading home. Bring binoculars or your telephoto lens to spot sea birds nesting and fishing along the coast!

And yet here we are, worried about tomorrow emails.

I’ve never seen a night sky like the one on Rapa Nui. And it forever changed my perspective on how small we truly are.

That blurry patch you see in some of these photos isn’t a star. It’s the Andromeda Galaxy, the closest major galaxy to the Milky Way. It’s located about 2.5 million light years away and the light from it started traveling toward Earth long before modern humans even existed

We spend so much of life trapped in notifications, deadlines and tiny everyday stresses… and meanwhile we’re racing through space on a giant rock under billions of stars

f you only have 3- 4 days to travel, everything matters a little more and there’s not much room for things to go wrong.

I used to think the key was planning everything perfectly, down to every stop, every detail. But the reality is that things don’t always go as planned. Flights get delayed, weather shifts, and plans change.

And when your time is limited, that can throw off your entire trip.

Now I focus less on perfection and more on building in flexibility and thinking about the “what ifs” ahead of time, so I can actually enjoy the experience.

Save this for your next trip if you’re working with limited PTO.

It’s kind of crazy that I spent so many years wanting to leave Upstate New York when places like this exist here. I truly think the Finger Lakes are one of the most beautiful regions in New York State.
