Honored to share that I’ll be presenting at the 2025 Flagship Fellowship Summit, powered by Comcast — a global gathering of impact-driven entrepreneurs who believe in the potential of thoughtful, community-centered work to spark meaningful change.

Since our immersive session in Boulder, CO in August, our cohort has been meeting online regularly — sometimes up to 6 hours a week — plus one-on-ones and additional sessions. It has given us the rare chance to see one another through different seasons of our work, lives, and growth.

I’m grateful for the Watson team, our many mentors, and the incredible resources they’ve shared. And, of course the inspiring fellows who have been on the journey together.

At the Summit, I’ll be representing and sharing the work and vision that continues to drive us: helping making social entrepreneurship more transformative and actionable for people and organizations.

🌍 The Summit is a virtual global event featuring live pitches from fellows around the world, opportunities to connect with leaders and changemakers, and ideas you can carry back into your own work and community. There are over 500 rsvps! It’s open for anyone to attend— so feel free to mark your calendars and join us.

📅 November 25

Thanks for cheering on this journey — and for supporting the broader community of changemakers who continue to believe in a more inclusive, imaginative, and impactful future.

One of the best parts of gaining wisdom through steps forward, sideways, and in the opposite direction— is being able to share it with others.

Enjoyed sharing this candid session with fellow fellows. It covered on tips, tricks, and lessons from our experience in publishing books and launching Quad Press Publishing.

For any writers / publishers— would love to hear one learning you’ve gained (and would pass on) since launch 🙌🏽☺️✨

DC magic is real ✨ Reflecting on a few formative days in Washington DC:
-

Thank you and for the opportunity to participate in the Bold Movers program alongside 13 incredible women founders, and leaders across the US and Canada. We have spent 5 months connecting via online sessions, and met in-person this week in the nation’s capital.

We explored leadership styles, heard stories of pivot and rise from panelists, leaned into team building, and pitched our work and invitations for collaboration.

Amid a backdrop of seismic shift— being in the company of committed changemakers felt especially meaningful.

Deep gratitude to VV and SW leadership, including Bijan Moore, Brittney Knotts, PhD, and Jacqueline Deacutis and my mentor J Rizk.

Cheers to fellow participants— i.e. the wisdom in the room 🙌🏽. Please check out their work, connect, and amplify— remarkable leaders sparking incredible impact:

Vasundhara Kamath
Teresa Plesniak
Sophie Sandberg
Samona Mink Gaudet
Robin Brazier
Laura Robert-Rivera
Kristen Dufauchard
Kelly Hagler, MSW
Jamee Joppy
Erica Crowley, MSW
Christiana “Chrissie” Kayode
Anisat A., CPACC
Abby Robinson

Thanks to the workshop leaders, panelists, and mentors for the in-person gathering, including: Alexandria J. Maloney, MPA, Cori Lathan, PhD, Holly Sydnor, Micah Marie Chi, Stephanie Eidelman (Meisel), Deborah Conver, Judith Batty, NACD.DC, Tazreen H., Sherene Joseph, Kristen Hecht

Encouraged by supportive fellows (thank you for the recommendations!) — visited a few notable local DC area bookstores and shared Quad Press books:

If any of these are your favorite bookshops— feel free to request and reading, too :)

🗳️ Vote for How We Built It & How You Can Build Better: Pineapple Friends Books & Educator/AI Tools @ SXSW EDU 2026

Why vote?

Though , we work to drive social innovation and build impact ecosystems with diverse groups; for local, national, and global audiences; with aligned partners. In this moment, this is the way I know to spark problem solving, critical thinking, and community building.

We are building and to represent the ethos of our work— to create content and experiences that make social entrepreneurship more actionable, transformative, and accessible.

We have heard no. We have experienced disinterest and dismissal. Yet, when a person pitches their first social enterprise idea at an Impactathon, we see how it transforms them. When a kid’s grown up thanks us for creating the Pineapple Friends series, we relate to their relief that resources like this exist. When a child excitedly explains the world they want to live in, we feel their passion. When a partner is enthusaistic about co-creating meaningfully, we know we are exactly where we are supposed to be.

Voting for these sessions will help us reach new rooms, amplify new voices, and discover novel collaboration.

Ok! I’m in. What next?

Design thrives with constraint. And, startup productivity can thrive with a pitch deadline. 😂

Perhaps there’s no better motivator than prepping to share the story of our work with a panel of esteemed judges, in front of an audience of talented peers, subject matter experts, and investors.

The opportunity to pitch during helped get from “0 to 1” with a pitch deck for the new app after a busy month of live events and readings.

It honed focus for the next phase of build and gathering user feedback from homeschoolers and other educators.

Thank you judges 🙌🏽

🌧️ 35 kids.
1 big challenge: stormwater runoff.
And wow—did they show up 💥

At our recent Impactathon for Kids (Impactathon 32) with , we watched a room full of 5–10 year olds become:
🛠️ Engineers
🎨 Designers
💡 Innovators

They:
🐾 Listened to Zarah Zebra & Sammy Sloth Build Something (Book 2 in the series)
🌊 Learned about local runoff from Nate Wood from
🧠 Brainstormed solutions
✂️ Prototyped with crafts
🌿 Shared visions for a cleaner, greener world

From trash-catching nets to reuse ideas & landfill diversion—these kids reminded us:
They’re not just the future. They’re ready now.

Big thanks to + the Make A Splash program for supporting kid-powered change. 💚
