Today’s Tip:
Do you create content regularly? Like blog posts, videos, social media posts, podcasts, etc?
If you said yes, know that once you’ve decided on the topic for your book, you do NOT have to gather up the courage to sit at a blank computer screen awaiting inspiration to write your first word.
Why not, you ask?
Because you’ve already written that first word!
Most likely you’ve written many thousands of words on your chosen topic in the form of blog posts, videos, audio interviews, and more.
Get started by creating a cohesive outline for your book.
Keep the outline tight and subject-specific; no tangents or unrelated topics here.
Every chapter heading should directly relate to the main subject of your book.
Then, curate all your previously published content on this topic so you can fill in the outline for your book.
Reusing your content for any project will make your life infinitely easier and will make your bigger projects much quicker to finish.
Creating a master list of all your content is a good habit to start, no matter how much content you’ve published over the years.
However, depending on how many years you’ve been in business, this can be a very daunting task. Delegating to a VA can help reduce your stress level considerably.
I get my VA to help with this task, and it lets me focus on content creation, while making sure that I always have an up-to-date master list of content I can curate into future books!
What do you do? 🤷🏽♀️💖🤷🏽♀️

Have you ever thought about publishing a book?
If you’re a business owner, publishing a book can do wonders for your business. It can:
👉 Brand your business
👉 Boost your credibility and authority
👉 Provide value to your audience
👉 Increase profits
👉 Broaden your reach
And much more!
Your book can also serve as material for future content, including social media posts, blog content, articles, and emails.
If you’ve ever thought about writing a book, the best way to approach it is the same way you’d approach any business building initiative.
You’d set a goal, create a plan, build a team and get to work.
Despite rumors to the contrary, writing a book is no different.
In fact, you can write a book in 30 days if you have content or a solid idea.
Or you can write a book in 90 days if you’re starting from scratch.

How to Write a Book Tip!
To get really motivated about setting aside time to write your book and getting the words out of your head, you need to set an intention before you get started.🤔
Set your intention clearly about why you want to write this book.🤔
This is similar to the question of why did you become a business owner or professional (insert whatever it is you do here).🤷🏽♀️
Let this “why” for your book be the driving force behind getting this book written. 💖
So, WHY do you want to write a book?

Through all of this experience, I’ve heard countless struggles from people who want to write a book.🤔
My advice is to start small.
Keep it simple.🙂
Choose a book concept that feels doable.✊🏽
Maybe instead of writing a 300-page book on the history of advertising in America, perhaps you can write a very short book with an inspiring list of 10 ways to heal from past trauma, or 7 ways to grow your business, 5 ways use your voice,or 3 steps to build a better world.
Start with a smaller book. Get it done.
Feel the pride of accomplishment.
Celebrate the small win! 🥰
You can always write a bigger book later if you want to.
Some folks need help just to start the writing process.
Sometimes it's hard to tell your story.
Other folks need to know the exact steps to take after writing the book.
It can be confusing if you don't know what to do.
Is that you?
Have you been writing a book in your head FOREVA....?

I’m going to say this loud, and I want you to hear me on this: writing a book should be an enjoyable process!!!!🥰
Writing a book shouldn’t be painful or frustrating or overwhelming.😡
If you’re driven simply by the desire to make money, chances are high that you’ll produce a subpar book that will harm your credibility and stunt your business growth.🤷🏽♀️
So, instead of just plucking the first book topic that comes to mind, let’s think about it methodically so you KNOW this is a subject your audience needs at this time.
Every single idea you have swirling in your head about what you want your book to be about needs to get from your brain onto paper.🥰
Don’t edit yourself; just start writing down your ideas and save the editing for later on.
Why is this exercise important, you ask?
Quite simply, putting all that info onto paper helps clear your mind.
You can gain some focus once you brain dump, knowing that you’ll revisit any good ideas later.
If you feel like you’re getting stuck at the brainstorming stage, and you need some help to work 1:1 to take you to that next step, then we need to talk about working together!
Send me a DM to chat about how I can help you get your book written and published this year.

We take them for granted.
And forget their power.
Use them wisely to say how you feel and what you need.
And, to share your story.
Your words can serve as the vessel that brings your story to life and a way to allow your imagination to have a voice.
Think before you speak.
And write to get it out of your head and on to the pages of a book.🥰

Today's Tip!
You dream about writing a book. There’s just one little problem. Your life is crazy busy.
Between working, raising the kids, running your household, and trying to be a great friend/sibling / spouse/partner/aunt / uncle/grandparent/everything else, there’s just not much time left.
So, is it possible to write a book…when you have almost zero free time?
Uhhhhh….YES!
You don’t have to write a big, long, mammoth of a book. Write a little book (something than 50 pages…sounds better, right?)
Write whatever book you want to write. There are no rules to how long it has to be. It can be, however long you want it to be.
If you’re short on time and want to write a little book, ask yourself this:
What kind of book could you realistically write in 8 hours? Or in 1 day? In 1 weekend?
I’ve had clients who wrote mini-books in 8 hours or a weekend...
Other clients choose to write a medium book in 90 days or less.
No matter how big or small you want your book to be, remember, you can find the time to write a book this year!
You just need a Writing Plan to get it done.
Look at your calendar for the next month and figure out the dates/times when you can realistically write.
Then, put it on the calendar so you’ll really show up when it’s time.
Inspiration and motivation will only shoe up when you do.
