Nearly all of the fall sports have reached their conclusion, with the final sports of the season either entering the postseason or ending the regular season this weekend, while a pair of winter teams start competition. This is the Powell High School varsity sports and Northwest College athletics update for Oct. 30-Nov. 5.

PHS SCHEDULE
The Panther volleyball team will be the only athletic team in action this weekend, competing as the No. 8 seed at the 3A West Regional Tournament in Pinedale. Powell takes on Cody to start the weekend at 10 a.m. on Friday. The Panthers need two wins to advance to state.
PHS swimming is still practicing following the Last Chance Meet for those that have reached the 3A State Championships in Laramie next weekend on Nov. 7-8.

NWC SCHEDULE
Trapper volleyball wraps up its season this weekend at home against Western Wyoming Community College at 6 p.m. on Friday.
NWC women's basketball starts its season on the road in Twin Falls, Idaho. The Trappers take on the College of Southern Idaho at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and North Idaho College at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The Trapper men host their first game against an alumni team at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Northwest College men's soccer heads down to Pueblo, Colorado, taking on Otero College in the Region IX Championship at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Colorado State University Pueblo.
