With a sound larger than most bands twice their size, Digger Jones is a blues rock group from Central New York influenced by blues from throughout the past century, rock 'n roll artists of the '60s and '70s, and Americana troubadours of the present.

We’ve been looking forward to this weekend for a couple months now.

Hiroya Tsukamoto rolls into Cortland for a show at Rose Hall on Friday night and then Saturday morning he’ll host a finger style guitar workshop for intermediate and advanced players (or beginners who are eager to learn and take good notes:).

He’s been runner-up at the world finger style guitar championships not once but twice now and the guy is truly a world-class artist. Talent like Hiroya sometimes only seems to exist on the internet these days but we’ll have him in-person this weekend and can’t recommend this show much more to fans of acoustic listening room type shows.

Free admission to the show for kids 12 and under and there’s a 50% discount on the workshop for ages 13-18 or students with a (current) college ID.

Cloey update! She’s in the homestretch with less than one week to go and about 60% of her goal funded.

We’ll be gathering a handful of area musicians for a couple mini pledge marathons at the Center for the Arts of Homer and Rose Hall this week to try to help her push the campaign over the top. Many thanks to all who supported her so far!

A collection of acoustically-written and pop oriented songs that tell a moving story and explore its potent message.
