Today we honor the lives lost on September 11, the families who still carry that loss, and the first responders who ran toward danger when others needed them most 🇺🇸
-
For many, that day also became a call to serve, protect, and stand for something bigger than themselves.
-
September 11 changed our country and the lives of so many who served in the years that followed. We haven’t forgotten. 🇺🇸

🌿 Whatever this week brings, stand on this truth: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1

God is present, God is steady and you do not face it alone.

🥱 Running on empty by 3 PM? An occasional afternoon slump can happen, especially after a busy morning or a poor night’s sleep. But when exhaustion shows up every day, interferes with your routine or keeps getting worse, it may be worth a closer look.
-
Ongoing fatigue can have many possible contributors, including:
💤 Poor-quality sleep
💧 Dehydration
🥗 Irregular meals or nutrition concerns
💊 Medication side effects
🩸 Anemia or blood-sugar changes
🦋 Thyroid conditions
🧠 Stress, anxiety or depression
-
Because fatigue has so many possible causes, the answer is not always another cup of coffee.
-
We can talk through your symptoms, review your health history and determine whether an exam or lab work may help uncover what is draining your energy.
-
If the 3 PM crash has become an everyday occurrence, call us to schedule an appointment.

💡Helpful tip: No fever doesn’t automatically mean school-ready 🙅
• Keep your child home if their symptoms are worsening or they are not well enough to participate comfortably.
• For respiratory illnesses, the CDC recommends waiting until symptoms have been improving overall for at least 24 hours.
• If a fever occurred, they should also be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine.
• Always check your school’s illness policy, too 👍

They greet us like we’ve been gone for three years when it’s been 20 minutes, follow us into rooms where we definitely did not invite them, and somehow know when we need a little extra company. 🐾❤️
And dogs may actually be doing our health some good along the way. Research has associated dog ownership and interaction with benefits like more physical activity, social connection, and reduced stress.

Not a bad résumé for someone who occasionally eats things off the floor 😂
