At the June 9th Prescott City Council meeting, the Council voted to move forward with the process of acquiring property near the airport through eminent domain.

Before forming an opinion, I encourage everyone to watch property owner Mr. Stonesipher's comments to the Council and hear his perspective firsthand. Then take the time to watch the entire discussion and voting session to better understand the reasoning presented by all sides.

Eminent domain is one of the most significant powers Government can exercise, directly impacting private property rights and public projects. Hopefully, a fair and reasonable agreement can still be reached before the need for eminent domain.

Watch Mr. Stonesipher's comments with the video and the full meeting in the link below.

What are your thoughts on the Council's decision and the use of eminent domain in this situation?

These protest in our plaza just cause anger. These people need to go play pickle ball or shuffle board. No one cares either way about your signs. Stop disrupting people that want to enjoy downtown Prescott.

Report of harassment and threats at courthouse protest

As discussed during the dispatch call, an officer at a courthouse speaks with a civilian who reports possible harassment and threats that occurred during a nearby protest. The officer is out with the involved parties inside the courthouse.

This should be good.

Once again, Katie Hobbs’ job-killing policies were found to be ILLEGAL.

Her made up “tax” on developers that drove up housing costs and hurt homebuilders was thrown out by a judge.

Katie Hobbs is pushing policies that hurt homebuyers and drive up the cost of homes in Arizona.

We cannot afford four more years of Katie Hobbs.

When I first became Mayor in 2018, I made a commitment that Prescott Valley would become more connected, more walkable, and more family friendly for future generations.

That commitment continues today.
I strongly believe sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and multi-use paths are not luxuries — they are quality of life investments that connect neighborhoods, parks, schools, businesses, and families together.

They improve safety, encourage healthy lifestyles, and help make Prescott Valley a community where people want to live, work, and raise a family.
Since being elected Mayor, Prescott Valley has either added or is planning to add over 50 miles of connectivity projects throughout our community.

From sidewalks and pathways to trail systems and future regional connections, we are building a Prescott Valley that is connected for decades to come.

This is part of my vision for “Prescott Valley Connected” a community where residents can safely walk, bike, jog, and enjoy everything our town has to offer.

We are not standing still. We are planning for the future while continuing to protect the hometown feel that makes Prescott Valley special.
