Writing and Acting in Synergy

Building Character from both Sides of the Page

Explore the intersection where writing and performance meet. Writers will learn to strengthen their characters, and actors will learn how to better inhabit a scene. Learn how to enhance writing and acting skills from both sides of the page.

WGA writer/producer, Derek, trained in the Sanford Meisner Technique under Bob Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum at the acclaimed Playhouse West in Los Angeles.

Elevated Improv
Presented by Matthew Conde

The only way to learn is to do it.

Play games that allow you to discover characters, emotions, relationships, and more. You might even learn a trick or two to elevate your acting skills.

Matthew is a Groundlings-trained Improviser with hundreds of live shows under his belt with various teams, across various countries, and in one specific ocean. He has also been working in film/tv for the last 15 years, with an extensive commercial and film resume.
