We encourage all of you who have been following this page to please go ahead and "like" our WPKY page and visit our new website (under construction) http://www.wpkyonline.com/.
This 104.9 The Wave page will be deactivated soon as we are no longer broadcasting from Caldwell County on the 104.9 frequency. We appreciate all of the support you have shown us on this page and hope you will all enjoy our new, locally-owned, community radio station 103.3 FM WPKY.
We will begin airing local programming on DEC 1st. Again...103.3FM is the new and, currently, the ONLY frequency we will be broadcasting on until further notice. At this time you can hear "test audio" music and sponsors. We will have some local programming starting at 6:00AM Tuesday and we WILL be broadcasting the Caldwell County Tiger and Lady Tiger home Basketball Double-header that evening and streaming on our "Tigers' Eye" webcast.
Thank you ALL for your support throughout the years. A special thanks to Tiger Media LLC (Joe & Kathy McEnaney, Dan and Jaye Lynn Hughes, and Lucinda Hughes Gray) for making our dream of a true, community radio station come true. We are 103.3 FM WPKY THE TIGER.
Sincerely,
Caroline Garcia, Station Manager
& the radio staff of WPKY: Shirley B. Gray, Jordan Dunn, Dakota Young and Perry Byrd.
