🌻 Hand-illustrated on my iPad, each mug features 16 unique egg designs, based on traditional Pysanki (Ukrainian Easter eggs).

✍🏼Written on each mug is the traditional Paschal greeting in English (Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!) or Old Church Slavonic (Христос Воскресе! Воистину Воскресе!).

🌹In celebration of the Feast of the miraculous Icon of the Mother of God, Joy of All Who Sorrow (October 24/November 6), I designed this mug based on the beautiful flowers found in the background of the gorgeous icon.

📜The text written by each of the eight unique flowers is borrowed from Stikheron of the feast, describing the Theotokos:

🌷Joy of All Who Sorrow
🌷Protectress of the Oppressed
🌷Feeder of the Hungry
🌷Consolation of Travelers
🌷Haven for the Tempest-Tossed
🌷Visitation of the Sick
🌷Protection and Aid of the Infirm
🌷Staff of Old Age

In honor of the upcoming feast of the icon Mother of God, Joy of All Who Sorrow I have designed this mug with the text of the Stikheron of the feast printed on the mug! The text is in white and multicolor on a black mug.

The mug holds 11oz. and is microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe!

It makes the perfect gift as a reminder of all the Theotokos provides for us ☦️

📜This design was inspired by a design found in a 16th-century medieval Slavic manuscript called “Molitvennik Voivode Bozhidara Vukanovicha” (1538). It features a winding vine-like pattern with the letters “БОЖ,” representing the Slavic word “БОЖЕ,” or “God.”

☕️This gorgeous mugs holds 11oz. and is dishwasher and microwave safe!

I just love making these Medieval Slavic designs! 😍☦️📜

This beautiful ornament comes from a sixteenth century Slavic Orthodox prayerbook called “Molitvennik Voivode Bozhidara Vukanovicha” (dated 1538).

It features a black and white rectangular floral vine pattern on a diagonally striped background, as in the original manuscript. Above the design are the abbreviations “IC” and “XC”, abbreviations for the Greek words Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) and Χριστός (Christ).

This ornament was hand-illustrated by me on my iPad using Adobe Fresco and edited on my laptop using Adobe Illustrator.

It would look beautiful on a church bulletin, letter, or music handout!

Excited to share my first medieval Slavic graphic!

This page ornament was adapted from a medieval Slavic prayer book called “Molitvennik Voivode Bozhidara Vukanovicha” dated 1538.

It features a black and white weaving vine-like pattern (on a transparent background) with the word “God” (Боже) in Old Church Slavonic written, abbreviated, in the center.

I hand-illustrated this ornament on my iPad using Adobe Fresco and I edited it on my laptop using Adobe Illustrator.

It would look great on a church letter or bulletin!
