OCHOCO FOREST ROAD CLOSURE: A portion of Forest Service Road (FSR) 22 on the Ochoco National Forest will be temporarily closed beginning today, July 14, to allow for road maintenance activities. The closure is expected to remain in effect through the end of the month.
The closure affects the portion of FSR 22 between its junction with FSR 42 and its junction with FSR 2210. A marked detour is in place, directing travelers to use Highway 26 to FSR 2630, which reconnects with FSR 22 beyond the closure area.
Walton Lake recreation area remains open and accessible via the detour.
This maintenance work is intended to improve road conditions and ensure safe access for forest visitors. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling near the work zone and to follow all posted signs and detour instructions.

For current road conditions and additional information, visit the Ochoco National Forest website at www.fs.usda.gov/ochoco or contact the Forest Service at (541) 416-6500.
