Do you ever scroll through your phone's photos and realize ... all those silly & cute pictures & videos of your pets, those are little love notes? 💕
Sometimes we miss it in the moment its happening, but there are so many moments where those around us are saying: I love you.
You make me feel safe.
I am so happy to be with you.
I'm so happy we're together.
You let me be myself and I am so thankful for us.

Our pets make us laugh and make us wonder, but they also fill our lives with wonderful little moments that let us know we're important in this world. I hope today when you see the silly cat video or cat meme somewhere, it'll remind you of good things all around us, and how we each have the power to spread good and share a little love note with someone who matters to us as well. 🤍

At Keep Up Creations the boys typically out pounce, out number, push out, overtake, over play, start fights, and multiply the drama. Meanwhile the majority of our female cats play referee, start the cuddle puddles, rule the roost as royalty, and tell mommy when it's food time ... again.
That can make it a little hard to catch all their wonderous and adorable moments on video. But we're so happy when we do.

Today is National Daughter Day. So while we celebrate our lionesses, we also want to say a big Thank YOU! to everyone who's said to us, "my sister has a cat" or "my daughter has a cat". We love that you love the and you support those daughters who love their cats too 😻

May all daughters today feel supported, be esteemed, experience love, and know that whether all their good is seen & recognized or not, they are so important to our world and they shine so beautifully ✨

We're hoping you're having a better day (and a better week!) than Shadrach is having.
At times it can be hard to know the right thing to do AND choose to do it. Maybe especially for a cat. 😼
Shadrach makes better choices when he's not on catnip. Instead we love to let him indulge in some natural silvervine.
Silvervine toys keep Shadrach from obtaining aggressive ambitions, which some cats get with catnip, but instead he gets some time to feel pretty on top of the world regardless of what the other cats are doing. For our household, that's a big win!

Breve is here to say: Organic Catnip matters! Even worse: Once you've had the good stuff you can't just go back to everyday dust fluffer toys. 🙀

The truth is Keep Up Creations clowder try out all kinds of toys, and they also invent their own toys from time to time. Before the camera was rolling, Breve was actually having so much fun with this! 😹 But he can be a pretty private guy sometimes. This just happened to be one of those "no more, Mom" moments.

Who am I kidding? Of course I am!

These tabbies mean business!
They are serious about Keep Up Creations handcrafted cat toys & beds. They're on a mission! They know playtime means cats get to sharpen their skills, show off their natural talents, run off any stagnate stresses.
Bold playtime also means wonderful naps and cuddle times are close behind.

But did you know that cats have many different play-styles?
That's why we make smaller toys like Disc of Happiness, Rascally Raviolis, and Catnip Block for some cats, then others benefit greatly from larger grabbing toys Catnip Tumbles and Catnip Krinkle Kickers.
Still other cats and older senior cats really enjoy Henry's Catnap Mats.

Not only that, but we've learned through experience and research that some cats do much better on silvervine toys than on catnip toys, so we had to add Silvervine Zenith and Silvervine kickers to our menu.

These cats won't let us quit! They're determined to help the world around them the best ways they know how. Right now, this is how they do it. 🤍 🌱 😽

Did you know that Keep Up Creations founders April-Dawn & John fell in love & married in their 40s? Some time after that April-Dawn started a new career path altogether, which we now know as Keep Up Creations.

It's not just a wonderful saying, it's the truth!
Don't quit on yourself.
Your life may not turn out like you once imagined or it may not follow a timeline that you understand right now, but that doesn't mean you aren't exactly where you need to be going. There's so much good to discover no matter what age you're at today.

Small AMAZING moments that are worthy to be cherished, noted, and remember. It seems that they just appear out of the blue! Have you ever seen an animal just walk up to a stranger and sit with them?
It's an amazing phenomenon.
Animals have a "knowing" or instinct that allows them to sense another being just needs a little calm or another "tribe member" to sit with them for just a moment or two. It's not necessarily about protecting the other being, but about sharing their calm nervous system. As pack animals we feel that "there's safety in numbers", so sometimes the simple act of sitting beside someone else who is calm can make all the difference.
Who says chivalry is dead?

In simple ways, our pets show us little reminders of how to be good to others around us. Maybe your cat doesn't hold the door for you, as some equate chivalry to be, but maybe your cat shares their purrs. Maybe they look for the opportunities to impress you with a toy as their latest catch. Or maybe they just hold your quiet secrets that only get told to your bestie.

Whether you consider this flattery or not, your nervous system may find this to be comforting. Your pets know. They can feel the things you feel, and they may be able to identify or respond to it faster than you can understand it yourself.

Often pets who express these skills can go on to become therapy animals or emotional support animals. But long before those titles came into society, pets held this sacred duty of instinctive chivalry. It's just one of the many things that we love about having pets in our home. 🤍
