Beginning June 28, 2021, Kindle Direct Publishing will no longer accept reflowable text files in .mobi format. epub, doc/docx, and kpf formats are still supported. (Only fixed-layout .mobi files will continue to be accepted.) This could mean better results when utilizing InDesign for epub generation (.mobi files generated in InDesign were formatting nightmares.) Future updates to follow.

A new release from Quarrier Press of an historic reprint. Cover illustration by my longtime partner in crime, L. Jason Queen of Queens Cove Creative. Cover font is Brothers OT from Adobe Fonts. One of those layout and design projects that flows easily from the beginning.

Another backlist title from a regional publisher being updated for print-on-demand. Originally printed in bulk in 2001, the files were revised again in 2007. Now they’re being sent to yet another POD printer. Moral of the story: save all your files.
