Consider it preventative maintenance.. 🤍

One of my favorite things about travel has almost nothing to do with the destination. It’s the feeling of knowing something good is coming. A few days away, a new place, a quiet morning, a really good meal — whatever it is, having it on the calendar can make the ordinary days before it feel a little easier.

I think we underestimate how much that matters. Work, errands, laundry, responsibilities, repeat — life can start to feel a little meh very quickly. And we’re really good at waiting until we’re completely exhausted before admitting we need a break.

I’d rather normalize giving ourselves something to look forward to before we get there. You don’t have to wait until burnout is winning to book the trip. Sometimes having that vacation countdown is part of the relief.

The trip doesn’t start when you board the plane.
It starts the second it gets booked.
