We’re definitely not joining the tour anytime soon, but we had so much fun checking out Newport Indoor Golf in Portsmouth!

The kids loved trying out all the different games and challenges, and there are plenty of options for actual golfers too. Such a fun spot to keep in mind as we head into the colder months and start looking for more things to do indoors.

With colder weather coming, I’m always looking for new indoor activities. This one was a hit!

We checked out Newport Indoor Golf in Portsmouth, and I was surprised by how much there was for the kids to do. There are lots of fun challenges and games for kids (and of course there are tons of options for more serious golfers, too).

Definitely one to save for a cold or rainy Rhode Island day!

If you were to ask me my biggest surprise about how we use our Greater Providence YMCA membership, it would be just how differently we’ve ended up using it depending on the day.

Sometimes we’re there together. Sometimes the kids are doing their thing while I get some time to myself. Since we joined, we’ve swam, played, checked out different branches, found programs we want to try and discovered things I never would have associated with joining the YMCA.

I definitely say I underestimated what we were signing up for (it’s WAY more than just a gym!).

And the timing is great if you’ve been following along and thinking about joining. If you join YMCA of Greater Providence by September 30, you’ll pay a $0 join fee on a new family membership.

I’m so excited to be giving the keynote at the Senior Agenda Coalition of Rhode Island’s Age of Influence Conference & Expo on Friday, October 2!

I’m looking forward to talking about how I built Rhody Family and the ways we can connect across generations, both online and in person.

The afternoon also includes lunch, exhibitors and conversations about online safety, AI, tourism, financial security and the influence older adults have in our communities.

Providence Children’s Museum is hosting a brand-new after-hours Halloween event on October 23 - and we are giving away TWO tickets! 👻

Boo Bash will take over the museum for a night of Halloween fun, including trick-or-treating, creepy-crawly animal encounters, carnival games, Halloween activities and more!

🚂 Ride the Trick-or-Treat Train at Harmony Railway in Chepachet on October 17 or 18.

🌽 Find your way through a corn maze at Escobar Farm, Salisbury Farm, Confreda Farms, Clark Farms, Cucumber Hill Farm or Morris Farm.

🎃 Visit the pumpkin patches at St. John’s Church in Barrington or Trinity Church in downtown Newport.
