Back to Back! 2 weeks, 2 very different recognitions. Thank you to for allowing me to open the conference at this year's Big Bang Conference as The in Providence turns 30 years old! With over 40,000 students globally, it is an honor to be nominated and recognized as an alumnus in action!

This year, the conference came back to its roots in the city where it all started! I learned so much from the amazing educators in my advisory during the course of the conference and had some very informative conversations on best practices in the workshops. The Met taught me how to use my voice and showed me how to build community from a pup! I would not be where I am without this school, BPL, and this box breaking education model that allows students to learn and explore outside of the classroom!

To my Advisor and forever Mentor,/Big Brother , happy birthday 🎂 first and foremost! I hope you're having an amazing day, OG. You deserve it all. Thank you for nominating me, for always checking in, and for being 1 of my biggest supporters these last 22 years! To have a man of color to look up to for all 4 years of my high school journey was certainly a gift 🎁. And even though you lined me *insider.* The thought and the recognition itself is enough to keep my spirit warm. Love you, big dawg!

Thank you to my team for nominating me. Thank you to my amazing P.I.C. for taking a chance on a green 25 year-old, and for trusting me to assist in the growth of her vision. Thank you to my beautiful family, ESPECIALLY my parents, for instilling my work ethic and values system in me from a young pup. Thank you to my brother for always keeping me honest and challenging me as only a younger brother could. Thank you to my lady .porto . Our journey has been brief, but your presence in my life has brought me solace and joy. Thank you to every adult who has mentored me over the last 22 years! Since I turned 14 years old, there have only been about 90 days total where I haven't been employed in some capacity. In those 90 days, I experienced some of my darkest thoughts. As a young kid born and raised on the Southside of Providence, it's truly a blessing to be standing by my peers, colleagues, and my family as a 40u40 recipient for 2025! My fellow recipients are trailblazers and masters of their respective industries, as am I! I'm humbled to stand next to them and be graced with this honor. This is only a pitstop on the journey. There is more work to do and more goals to check off. I accept the challenge and am more than ready for what comes next. Let's get it!!!

, you did it, bro! I'm so fu***ng proud of you! Watching you on your coaching journey has been an absolute gift! Leading these young men to victory today was a sight to see. When things got tumultuous, you kept your reserve and quietly kept them focused and motivated. In this state, we put so much emphasis on basketball and football, but to see a young, vibrant, BLACK coach in VOLLEYBALL, lead young men from all walks of life to a championship victory over the league favorite was incredible to watch! They say this victory was the biggest high school sports upset in 25 years?! Y'all made history today!

Hard work beats talent 10x out of 10! Everyone will remember this day as the day that Cranston East High School beat the heavily favored North Kingstown High School for the Young Men's Division 1 State Championship in Volleyball! Absolutely fire 🔥 🔥 🔥!!! Congratulations, fellas! State Champs, baby!
