News brief for 22 April 2020
This is an update involving WXIN's elections. As of TODAY (APRIL 22ND) at 1pm, you can nominate people for an Executive Board position (General manager, Program Director, Business Director, Sale Director, Production Director) until April 29th at 3pm. The ONLY way to nominate someone is to just email me at [email protected]. Nominations are the same as in person, nominate active members, as many people as you would like for each position. However, try to only email me once or twice with nominations, you have 1 week to send me nominations.
ELECTIONS: We plan on holding elections on May 13th using Zoom, most likely at 1pm (like our normal elections). General membership will also be sent an email to their RIC student Email for this information as well. WXIN board members recieved and email to their staff emails. Please keep an eye on your email for an email during the week of May 4th for more information involving proxy votes and election meeting information.
If you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to seeing nominations start to flow in after 1pm today.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: The Rhode Island National Guard has identified Rhode Island College as the site for a new mobile testing facility. The secure, self-contained facility will begin operation Tuesday, March 31 and will operate seven days a week, with the goal of testing up to 300 people per day. TESTS WILL BE AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. If you believe you need a test, please CONTACT YOUR PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER FIRST.
