Today, we're joining our union-represented colleagues nationwide in a to oppose layoffs threatened last week by the company.

Our colleagues get side gigs and put off home repairs as they go years without raises. Now those same journalists have to lose their jobs because Gannett didn't meet its goals?

It's simple: Gannett needs to do better.

This company must cut frivolous spending instead of getting rid of journalists' jobs.
