Leading Edge Magazine: 30 years of science fiction and fantasy. Leading Edge is run by a staff of volunteers, primarily students from Brigham Young University.

Leading Edge Magazine has provided the world with premier science fiction and fantasy for over forty years. Submissions are open to people all over the world, and submission guidelines for written and art pieces are on the official Leading Edge website. Questions can be directed to staff members on Facebook.

Through a series of unfortunate events, our website got hacked, and then the domain got purchased right out from under us. We're working on getting a new website through BYU, but in the meantime here's a temporary link to our submission guidelines!

Leading Edge is looking for talented artists in the US to help bring our stories to life. Our artists will be paired with a story to create graphics for a published project. This is a paid opportunity to gain real-world experience, work directly with publishers, and have your art featured in a professional setting.

"This post is about the kinds of books for the kids who liked Bunnicula but couldn’t even bring themselves to open Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, because the one time you did, just barely wide enough to read one tiny little bit, this one random story about Death coming to some gardener guy shook you to your core, so you left it and its creepy skull cover down on the bottom shelf where it belonged until your mom had you go through your stuff and figure out what to send to Goodwill. Hypothetically, of course."
