This diminished his faith and his self-worth, leading him to repeat the behaviors he saw. Eventually, Cortland returned to the LDS Church, but it wasn’t until his mission that he confessed and repented.

Being in the mud with those you love isn't always fun but it can mean the WORLD to somoene who is struggling. Jason was dealing with a serious mental breakdown when his wife simply sat with him. They didn't exchange words, she just sat with him. And it was all he needed in that moment.
