Summer’s father, Vernon Thomas, owned two hardware stores and served on the board of his church. He believed his daughter should marry someone with clean fingernails, a college education, and family property that did not sit within sight of an abandoned mine. When he learned about Dan, he first became angry, then forbade Summer from seeing him. A week later, he arranged for her to live with an aunt in Wichita and attend a secretarial school there. Got out to the Horseshoe yesterday morning and some pics as well. There were some people out there before I arrived and Robin thought they might be from Rocklahoma I didn't see anything but the vehicles when I was there and then noticed the silhouettes of the people in the pictures. It was a beautiful morning but as the sun crept higher, the hotter it started to get.

Went looking for the Oklahoma "Spook Light" the other day out near Miami and Quapaw. While I didn't actually see any lights, I did find some interesting sights....
"Spook Light Road or the Devil's Promenade, located near Quapaw and Peoria in extreme northeast Oklahoma, just west of Hornet, Missouri."
