A sneak peak at our next episode of Cowtown, featuring the Dr. Leon Fischer, Leon Fischer. From pulling in his Chuck Wagon to festivals and events to taking classes on trailrides around Oklahoma’s southwest, Dr. Fischer has spent his life not only teaching, but also preserving the skills and opportunities for so many of us to reconnect to our roots.

We are excited to see this story come to life as we continue to uncover more stories, photos, and memories from former students and colleagues.

Chuck Swisher has been fighting bulls since he was about 15. Wanting to follow in his father’s footsteps, all Chuck wanted growing up was to be apart of the rodeo. From that first day at bullfighting school, he has been hooked ever since.

On a Tuesday in May, our team at Old Pal Advertising & Marketing loaded up in a car at 5 am and headed out to Kingfisher. It was the first day of filming with Chuck Swisher of Swisher Beef Co. and we were prepared with a long list of questions.

After that first shoot, we knew the story we were about to tell was bigger than Chuck’s journey of starting Swisher Beef. We followed Chuck to his last rodeo as a bullfighter, and got to experience the addicting excitement of watching the bull come out of the chute. We understand why it is so hard to leave behind, and we are so grateful we get to tell his story.

Last night we gathered with new and old pals as we celebrated the incredible 21 year career of Chuck Swisher at Rodeo Cinema in the Stockyards City Main Street

Over 120 guests were able to see the very first screening of the Last Rodeo, followed by a panel about the film.

We are blown away by the support from everyone, and can’t wait to share the finished piece with everyone online.

This summer was a summer of dirt, cattle, steaks, and great conversations with Chuck Swisher. We are so excited to share what our team has been working on, and can’t wait to tell Chuck’s story.
