Good Evening,

As a reminder, the annual meeting of the members of Mayfair will be held on November 7, 2022 at 6:00PM at the Purcellville Library, Robey Room. This year the annual meeting elections will be held electronically via TownSq. If an owner does not wish to submit an electronic vote or want to count for quorum purposes only, you may complete the proxy/ballot located on TownSq and submit via email to [email protected] or via fax to 703.536.8105 or you may provide to a neighbor who will be attending the meeting in person.

We need 26 members participation to meet quorum. We are much closer than prior years but not quite there. Please submit your vote on Town Sq or complete the enclosed proxy. If you request a hard copy proxy be mailed to you please let me know.

The annual meeting election is open on Town Sq for digital voting. When voting on TownSq, you may choose up to 3 candidates to be elected to the board of directors. Your vote on TownSq will also be counted towards quorum as well. If you vote on TownSq, you do not need to attend the meeting in person but we would certainly like the participation. If you submit a proxy and also submit a vote on TownSq, the vote on TownSq will take precedence and your proxy will be voided. Only one vote allowed per home. Voting closes on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 12:00PM.

Please contact Christa MacDonald at the email address above or via phone to 703.778.4480 with any questions. If you need assistance setting up a TownSq account, please contact her as well.

Thank you

BACK TO SCHOOL REMINDERS
First Day of School Jitters?

And just like that summer is over and the new school year upon us. The first day of school for Loudoun County students is tomorrow, August 25th. As with any new thing, anxiety and jitters can be sparked. Click on the link below for tips how to manage anxiety this school year and for tips to have a successful year.

Back to School… Kids and Buses

With school starting soon, buses will be in the community, and more cars will be on the roads in the morning. Please drive slowly and cautiously when entering and exiting the community.

Bus stops are challenging for drivers. With children congregating (sometimes in the roadway) or crossing the street drivers must be alert… remember, just because someone should look both ways before crossing the street does not mean that they will! Do you drive your child to the bus stop? If so, do not double-park, block intersections, or park where the bus pulls in. This will help the flow of traffic in the morning and will help keep your kids safe.

If you have a teenager driving to school, please remind them of the bus stop locations. It is also important to know when it is ok to pass a bus with its flashing lights on and sign out. Refer to the image below!

Thank you for your efforts to keep the community safe! Good luck to all the kids, parents and teachers as you embark on the new school year!

Mayfair Crown Drive Update

On July 22nd, the community was notified of some upcoming safety changes being made to Mayfair Crown Drive. Below is an update from the Town with a more formal press release coming from the Town in the coming days/week.

- All no parking signs have been ordered and should arrive by the end of this week. (8-12)
- Staff has called in a miss utility ticket to make sure we are not interfering with any underground utilities.
- Once the utilities are marked staff will move forward with installing signs. (next week)
- Staff will be Painting the new crosswalk blocks next week. (if weather allows)

The biggest issue the Town is facing is getting a paint contractor in to paint the double yellow, edge lines and parking brackets. Their normal contractor hasn’t returned their phone calls. Staff has reached out to another contractor and will be meeting with them to look at the project. They will keep us posted when they might be-able to perform work.

The Town will move forward with signage, crosswalks and curb painting.

As more information is received, it will be disseminated to the community.

Thank you,
Rosewood Management, on behalf of the Mayfair Board of Directors

Mayfair New Pet Waste Station Contractor

Dear Residents,

At the board meeting last night, the board of directors unanimously approved a new pet waste station vendor to replace Doody Calls due to their breach of contract and poor service to Mayfair. The new vendor is P**p 911 and they will begin service on Monday. The contract includes removing and disposing of the pet waste trash, replacing trash liner, filling the pet stations with new waste bags and deodorizing the pet stations. The contract will also empty the trash cans at the pavilion area.

We look forward to working with this new vendor in Mayfair and appreciate their ability to accept us so quickly!

Attention Mayfair Residents:

We are happy to report there will be some safety changes in regard to Mayfair Crown Drive, thanks to the help of our resident town councilwomen Erin Rayner and the Town of Purcellville in facilitating these changes. In the coming months, the Town of Purcellville will be making the following changes to Mayfair Crown Drive for safety mitigation (see map below):
• The bus stop as moved from the end of Mayfair Crown to the corner of Dunraven Way and Mayfair Crown Drive, this will go into effect this upcoming school year (by August 25th)
• There will be a four-way stop installed at Dunraven Way/Connaught Way/Mayfair Crown.
• High visibility crosswalks at the four way stop at Dunraven Way/Connaught Way/Mayfair Crown as well as a high visibility crosswalk will be installed at the intersection of Savile Row Terrace and Mayfair Crown Drive. The crosswalk at Savile Row will have a crosswalk system and flashing lights to alert drivers of pedestrians in the crosswalk.
• Double yellow lines will be painted down the center of Mayfair Crown Drive as well as white lines on the sides of Mayfair Crown.
• Parking will only be allowed on one side of Mayfair Crown Drive (closer to the townhomes), the other side will become a no parking zone with signs indicating as such.
• Curbs on the corners of Savile Row Terrace/Mayfair Crown and at the new four-way stop will be painted yellow to indicate no parking.

In addition, members of the Mayfair Board did a walk-through with the Town Manager and planning team on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, where we discussed the above safety mitigation strategies for Mayfair Crown Drive. In our discussion, we were made aware of a Town Council Special Meeting that will be held at 6:30pm on July 27, 2022, in the Town Council Chambers at Town Hall, 221 S. Nursery Avenue, Purcellville, VA.
The purpose of this meeting is to receive citizen questions and feedback regarding the Loudoun County Fields Farm Recreational Facility and Commuter Lot project. In addition, stall will brief the community on current safety issues on Mayfair Crown Drive that exist independent of the County’s proposed recreational fields and commuter lot. Questions received by residents in writing or verbally in person at the July 27th meeting will be captured and forwarded to the County for response.
These public information meetings are being held prior to the public hearings for rezoning and special use approval, which will be conducted by the Planning Commission and Town Council.
A separate public information meeting with County representatives to discuss the Field Farm Park and Commuter Lot will be scheduled for Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 6:30pm at Town Hall.
Link: https://www.purcellvilleva.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2608
We would like to encourage all residents of Mayfair to voice any concerns or questions about these projects at this town hall meeting either in person or by emailing the Town Council at [email protected] with your questions to ensure that they are passed to the County.
Respectively,
Mayfair Board of Directors

We will do our best to provide you a response prior to that.

Homeowners are members of the Association, and as such have the responsibility and the right to stay informed about the operations of the Association, rules and governance, and common area maintenance. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the management team at Rosewood! Christa MacDonald, Community Manager, can be reached via email at [email protected]. Diana Guardado, Assistant Manager, can be reached via email at [email protected]. Copying both ensures that you receive a prompt reply! Either Christa or Diana can be reached at 703.778.4480.

Accounting questions should be directed to Rosewood’s Accounts Receivable Department at [email protected] or 703.778.4480.

Selling your home? To request a resale disclosure package, please submit the request via our website: https://www.rosewoodmcs.com/order-resale-documents

You may also address the Board directly at the regularly scheduled Board meetings. Each Board meeting starts with a community forum, where all members of the Association may speak.
