TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE COMING SOON/PLEASE SHARE

On Wednesday 11/12/25 there will be a NEW 4 way stop sign at the intersection of South Street and Sayles Street. This change is the result of a study completed by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and the town's participation n the All Way Stop Control (AWSC) Program. The program was approved by the Town Council at the 06/16/25 meeting and all costs are covered by the AWSC program.

There is a large volume of vehicle traffic at this intersection and existing circumstances could create a hazardous road condition for residents and children who frequently walk in the area.

There are now sign boards posted on South Street to warn all motorists who frequently travel through this intersection that new stop signs will be installed by the DPW this week.

We would like to THANK Chief Normandin and the fire department for their assistance with setting up the sign boards.

Our football season has officially come to an end. Yesterday our Juniors fought hard, but ultimately came up short to Ellington. We are so proud of all the players, coaches and cheerleaders.

This Friday we are asking all of our players, coaches, and fans to come out to Plainfield High School this Friday, 11/14, at 6pm to support our cheerleaders as they put on their annual showcase! They have been out there supporting our football players in the rain or shine, it's our time to go and support them!
