Nestled between the Painted Desert and ponderosa highlands of northern Arizona Wupatki seems like an unlikely landscape for a thriving community. In the early 1100s during a time period of cooler temperatures and wetter seasons the ancestors of contemporary Pueblo communities created a bustling center of trade and culture. For Hopi people these sites represent the footprints of their ancestors. Come along with us as we explore the footprints of the past.

I was having a good day off until this happened. Cleaned the Rv, which looks like a disaster area and junk yard now, how embarrassing. The hose blew on the water pump, water everywhere. 😭 😭

There is something special about seeing the American flag gently waving in the breeze. It brings back memories of small-town parades, hand-over-heart moments during the national anthem, and stories passed down from generations who sacrificed so much for the freedoms we enjoy today.

The flag is more than red, white, and blue fabric. It represents resilience through difficult times, hope for a better tomorrow, and the countless men and women who have courageously served our country. It reminds us that despite our differences, we are all part of a larger storyβ€”one woven together by dreams, determination, and the pursuit of freedom.

Today, as Old Glory flies proudly against the summer sky, take a moment to pause and reflect on what it means to you.
