Sholay भारतीय सिनेमा के इतिहास में सिर्फ एक सुपरहिट फिल्म नहीं, बल्कि सोच-समझकर रचा गया सिनेमाई प्रयोग थी।
1975 में रिलीज़ हुई इस फिल्म पर निर्देशक रमेश सिप्पी और लेखक जोड़ी सलीम-जावेद ने सालों तक काम किया। वेस्टर्न फिल्मों की संरचना, भारतीय गांवों की सामाजिक हकीकत और यादगार संवाद—तीनों का गहन अध्ययन करके शोले की दुनिया बनाई गई।
कहानी दो दोस्तों जय और वीरू के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है, जो गांव को खौफनाक डाकू गब्बर सिंह से बचाने आते हैं।
बसंती की चंचलता, ठाकुर का दबा हुआ दर्द और गब्बर का आतंक—हर किरदार कहानी को आगे बढ़ाता है, कोई भी सिर्फ सजावट नहीं है।
अगर आज के बॉलीवुड ट्रेंड से तुलना करें तो फर्क साफ दिखता है।
आज ज़ोर अक्सर स्टार पावर, ग्लैमर और ओपनिंग कलेक्शन पर होता है। कई फिल्में कहानी से पहले ट्रेलर कट, सोशल मीडिया ट्रेंड और एल्गोरिदम को ध्यान में रखकर बनाई जाती हैं।
जहां शोले में सीन इतिहास बनते थे, वहीं आज कई फिल्में रील-फ्रेंडली मोमेंट्स तक सीमित रह जाती हैं।
तब कहानी राजा थी, आज एल्गोरिदम।
शायद यही वजह है कि शोले आज भी उतनी ही दिलचस्प लगती है, जबकि कई नई फिल्में रिलीज़ के कुछ हफ्तों बाद भुला दी जाती हैं।
