Mattias Strömberg announced on FB that Milab Microphones has filed for bankruptcy, bringing an end to an 84-year legacy for both Milab and Pearl Microphones.

This also marks the close of a 17-year chapter for him. It has been a privilege for him to represent Milab and Pearl internationally and to work with so many talented people from all over the world along the way, especially through events like NAMM and Audio Engineering Society.

Mattias is an outstanding individual on many levels. We at Aura Sonic Ltd. wish him great success in his future endeavors.

A simply brilliant performance set was had yesterday!

Yesterday, I had the great pleasure of playing at Newport Jazz Festival with my Foursight Quartet: Jimmy Greene, Renee Rosnes, and Payton Crossley. (Joining us in this photo is my son, Ron Jr.) Fun was had by one and all, both on the bandstand and off… Thank you to the Newport Jazz Festival team for your efforts in orchestrating such a notable event, and thank you as well to all the fans who made it an afternoon to remember.

More is yet to come on , so stay tuned… My next foray onto the bandstand will be on August 5th at Birdland Jazz Club, where I shall be playing as part of the Gerry Gibbs "The Thrasher" Dream Band until August 9th. Reserve your seats via www.RonCarterJazz.com
