DownJazz presents an exciting project in Soulful house electronic dance. Mark Adams & his Neo-Soul Allstar band is creating authentic 1970s Rare Groove with original musicians from Roy Ayers, Lonnie Liston Smith, Chaka Khan, Gloria Gaynor & Luther Van dross.

The original lyrics started as a classic Roy Ayers tune “Don’t Stop The Feeling” which were then recomposed and re-performed by Mark & his music team. Next DJ Jimpster who hails from the UK, created a brand new electronic dance Remix out of all these elements. The result is a beautiful and haunting soulful house dance electronic dance remix.

He has a deep special meaning to our label. Such a vibe! Yesterday, Soul-Summit outdoor 🕺 dance party in Forte Greene Park Brooklyn was so much 🤩 fun! 5,000 people…
House 🏠 music, Soulful House, tribal house.. really great DJs . Our wonderful & oh so talented DJ friend Jeff Mendoza was spinning & helped test out our new house track “Open Letter”.
DJ Spinna recently remixed this house track from our new summer album “This is Neo-Soul” by Mark Adams. (Mark by the way plays keys & has toured for 20 years as the music director for the late great Roy Ayers “Ubiquity” band). Drummer Chris DeCarmine also with Roy for many years , recently wrote Open Letter and brought in his friend Kimberly Davis, vocalist with “CHIC”to lay down the lush gospel like vocals., Great when it all comes together & you get to see how dancers enjoy the music in a real outdoor festival! Magical..

Catch the Soul Summit crew at more NY events this summer & fall. Please checkout all the new 2026 dance tracks plus soul- jazz rare grooves on Traxsource or Bandcamp DownJazz.com. Vinyl/CD’s are available at your local record shop & online. On Spotify/Apple we partner with the Detroit Rising artist collective & they have a fun YouTube channel as well. Links in bio to all our channels. music,
