TORNADO WARNING ISSUED, IN EFFECT UNTIL 6:45 PM

The US National Weather Service Albany NY has issued a TORNADO WARNING for Washington County (including the AREA OF THE WASHINGTON COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS).

* Until 645 PM EDT.

* At 611 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles northeast of Saratoga Springs, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

* Locations impacted include...
Greenwich, Wilton, Northumberland, Schuylerville, Victory, Fort
Miller, Thomson, Bald Mountain, Clarks Mills, Starks K**b, Bacon
Hill, Lick Springs, Callahans Corners, Jewell Corner, Middle Falls,
Grangerville, South Argyle, North Greenwich, Spraguetown and
Gansevoort.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

Due to severe weather in the area immediately west (Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado Warning) of the Washington County Fair, the Fair leadership team is taking precautionary measures and CLOSING IMMEDIATELY. All persons on the grounds are advised to SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY and leave the grounds as soon as safely possible.
