One thing I’m learning with van life is that sometimes the simplest ideas end up being the best ones 😅

I needed a way to store all of my window covers and privacy shades without them constantly falling over, sliding around, or taking up valuable bed space inside Scout.

So I grabbed a cargo net, clipped it into the seatbelt area, and created a giant side storage pocket along the van wall… and honestly it works SO well.

Now all my window covers stay:
✨ Easy to grab
✨ Out of the way
✨ Off the bed
✨ Secure while driving
✨ Super lightweight and flexible

Bonus… it also holds pillows and soft gear really well too.

I love finding little organization hacks like this because every inch matters in a small setup. Slowly but surely Scout is becoming more functional with every trip and every tiny improvement 💙

Sometimes van life innovation is just staring at your vehicle thinking… “what can I clip something to?” 😂

One thing I’ve learned very quickly while building out Scout is that organization matters MORE than space.

When you’re trying to fit a bed, work setup, kitchen supplies, camping gear, power systems, clothing, and everyday life into a Honda Odyssey… every inch counts 😅

I’ve spent weeks testing containers, drawers, bins, organizers, and storage systems trying to create something that actually works for real life and not just for pretty Pinterest photos.

What I’m loving most right now:
✨ Dedicated drawers for each system
✨ Easy access cooking supplies
✨ Hidden storage spaces everywhere possible
✨ A setup that lets me grab what I need quickly
✨ Keeping the van functional without feeling chaotic

It’s definitely still evolving, but I’m finally getting to the point where everything has a “home,” and honestly that makes van life SO much less stressful.

The craziest part is this is still my daily driver 😄

This 2007 Honda Odyssey has been mine since it was brand new, and seeing it slowly transform into this little adventure rig has been so rewarding.
