The Quincy University women’s basketball team outscored Indianapolis 28-15 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 71-58 victory Saturday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference play at Pepsi Arena. Meanwhile, the QU men couldn’t muster a similar rally late and fell 82-76 to the Greyhounds.

The Quincy High School girls basketball team gave coach Brad Dance his 116th victory with the Blue Devils, making him the program’s winningest head coach, with a 56-55 victory over Park Hill South at the Sophie Cunningham Classic.

Quincy junior forward Jada Brown was named the game MVP with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Cameran Byquist added 14 points to help withstand a 33-point, 16-rebound effort from the Panthers’ Addison Bjorn, who has committed to the University of Texas.
