Go Around the Horn for Monday's highlights involving the Western and Mendon Unity volleyball teams and the Monroe City and Highland softball teams and other news of note.

The Western volleyball team ran its win streak to seven consecutive matches with a 25-17, 25-23 victory over Camp Point Central. Paisley Patterson had eight kills for the Wildcats, while Alysa Bareis had 12 assists and two aces. Western is now 9-2.

The Illini West boys golf team won the Prairieland Conference Tournament championship Monday at Gold Hills Golf Course, posting a record-setting score of 294. Brimfield was second at 319 and Macomb finished third at 330.

Tony Jackson Jr. held off two strong cars to win the MARS feature race Sunday night at Quincy Raceways.

Jackson outran two-time reigning series champion and current points leader Jason Feger as well as 15-time winner Ryan Unzicker, who has four victories this season, for his second win of the season.
