Today is what we in the game like to call Throwback Thursday

And this TBT we are throwing it back 113 years to the opening of the incredible:

Petti's Market/ Deli and Italian Sausage at 216 Belmont St in Brockton.

This place has been around for more than a century and after getting a taste of not only their incredible food, but their incredible customer service, I can see why. The women working the counter of Petti’s were so fun, friendly, and welcoming they made me feel like I was a regular. A big shout out to Emma for being such a standout rockstar, she really made the experience that much better. And then we get to the food: the meatball sub is one of the top best meatball subs I’ve had period. I know I say that a lot but I really mean it this time. I’ll let my review tomorrow at 11 do the rest of the talking, but if you’re looking for a great customer experience at one of the oldest markets in the area, definitely check out Pettis Market šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Happy Hump day to all those that celebrate!

As promised yesterday I tip toed my way through Shoe City to another local favorite:

Little Sami's at 1145 West Chestnut st in Brockton

Something that is always a big stand out for me is when a sandwich spot has a big hand drawn menu and this is something Little Sammi’s goes big on. When you walk in you’re greeted with not only smiling faces but a huge red wall with their entire menu with ready for your order. I got both the Rocky sandwich and their Italian with everything on it and although the Italian wasn’t my favorite, there was plenty to like about it. The real stand out for me was the Rocky, piled high with roast beef and horseradish and compliment with not one, but two different kinds of cheese and caramelized onions. If you’re a big fan of horseradish and rare roast beef, I can’t recommend the Rocky enough. But what do you think? What’s your Little Sammi’s go to?

I hope everyone had a happy, healthy, and dry Memorial Day!

We are back on the path yet again stopping in The City of Champions to try out more BEEF. I went to the highly recommended:

Little Sami's at 1145 West Chestnut st In Brockton

Little Sami’s sandwiches are anything but little! I got their Rocky sandwich and it was stacked with beef and had an absolutely DELICIOUS cheese covered and baked roll. I really enjoyed this sandwich, the combination of the horseradish and caramelized onions was something I haven’t had before at any the spots I visited and I LOVE when people do things a bit different. And of course you know I HAD to get their Italian just for olds times sake! I really enjoyed this spot, but I’ll let the video tomorrow do the talking. Do you like Little Samis? What’s the best menu item they have?

My apologies for the late post folks!

We are back in action testing out another heated rivalry between:

Ma Raffa's Somerset at 1142 country st in Somerset

And

Pa Raffa's at 2857 Acushnet Ave in New Bedford

This was definitely a new experience for me going to the south coast and trying out their type of ā€œItalian grinderā€. While I truly don’t believe green peppers belong anywhere near an Italian sandwich, nor do I think an Italian should ever be placed inside of an oven, I think these were both good grinders. They were an excellent value sub $10 and they are very well beloved local spots so we aren’t going to criticize too harshly. Check out the video and let me know what you think! Have you been to these spots, which one do you think is better?

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!!

I, on the other hand, refuse to take a vacation! This weekend I found myself testing out another rivalry between:

Ma Raffa's at 1142 County Rd in Somerset
And
Pa Raffas at 2857 Acushnet Ave in New Bedford

This was a rivalry that I can honestly say I wasn’t prepared for at all. The difference between an ā€œItalian grinderā€ in New Bedford vs the rest of Mass was jarring to say the least: a hot salami ham sandwich served with chunk tomato, onion, green pepper, lettuce, covered with provolone cheese and cooked in the oven. And while this wasn’t my area of expertise nor my preference in sandwich, I still had a really good time checking out these spots and reviewing their sandwiches! I’ll let the video speak for itself tomorrow, but check out the pics in the mean time! What do you think of the New Bedford Italian Grinder? šŸ‡µšŸ‡¹šŸ„ŖšŸ„Ŗ

Calling today Thanksgiving Thursday.

And what am I thankful for you ask? That’s easy, I’m thankful for:

Fasano's Marketplace at 372 Washington St in Braintree

And their INSANE Gobblah Sandwich made by their in-house sandwich extraordinaire Darren. It’s pretty safe to say that Fasano’s is one of the finest and most popular establishments in Braintree with their unbelievable line up of high quality sandwiches, prepared foods, and imported Italian goods. I’ve reviewed them before and their Italian sub which was out of this world, and going back to get this Gobblah was no different. This bad boy was tipping the scales at almost 2lbs of thanksgiving deliciousness, and their meatball was nothing to sneeze at either. Take this as your wake-up call to head to Fasano’s, you will NOT be disappointed. Check out the video review tomorrow at 11 and see just how crazy this sandwich is!! 🦃🦃🦃🦃
