****🚨NEW SANDWICH SPOT ALERT🚨****

You know I am all about the local spots, so when I heard there was a new guy in town you know I had to check it out. I swung by:

📍The Backdoor Boys Sandwiches at Crispis at 136 Broad St in Bridgewater

Truly one of the best named sandwich shops because they are literally serving sandwiches out the back door and it’s amazing. I swung by yesterday on their opening day and I was extremely lucky and got the last 2 sandwiches they had available! I got Ronnie’s Italian Cold Cut, the classic, and the Drunk Uncle, which was chicken cutlet with vodka sauce, burrata, and basil and both were $18. Happy to say I was blown away by these sandwiches. The chicken was fresh, thin, and fried to order so nice and hot and crispy, and the Italian had beautiful thin sliced cold cuts on some of the tastiest and most unique bread I’ve ever had. I’ll let the video review do the talking, but do yourself a favor and check them out on their opening week 11-2: tell them Mr Alright Chef sent you!!!

Happy Feels-Like-Monday Tuesday everyone!

Had a great trip up north and I am so happy to share my experience at the legendary:

📍Taste of Maine Restaurant at 161 Main st in Woolwich, Maine

As lobster roll summer comes to a close, I had to try out at least a few lobster rolls out of True New England….so I had to one of the most often talked about spots. The lobster on the roof is large and in charge and so isn’t their lobster roll! This big boy was hot and had some of the juiciest, freshest lobster I’ve had all summer! Not only was this thing huge and fresh, but also extremely well priced at $38 which included French fries! If I had to complain about one thing, it’s that neither the butter used for the roll nor the butter they give you to pour over was salted, so it was a bit bland, but the freshness of the lobster really got to shine through. Have you guys been to Taste of Maine before? What do you think?

Getting a little Deja Vu today on this fine Thursday….

As I promised before, I just HAD to revisit:

📍Nonna Bella Catering at 52 New Driftway in Scituate, MA

To try out the sandwiches that I missed out on last time. And let me tell you folks….MAN am I glad I went back!!! I was finally able to lock down my Italian (lucky me they were almost out of bread!) and as a plus one I grabbed their insane looking meatball sub as well. Let’s just say: 3 for 3 Nonna Bella! The Italian was large and in charge with a gorgeous layering of fine cold cuts including real Prosciutto Di Parma-something you don’t see very often-and fresh cut veggies and the meatball….my god the meatball. Talk about man-sized meatballs! This sub was HUGE and had 4 of the biggest meatballs I’ve ever gotten on a sub. I’ll let the video review do the rest of the talking but wow, you guys have to check out Nonna Bella!! Huge Shout out to Bella and Cindy, you are rock stars!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🇮🇹🇮🇹

Happy Wednesday to all those who celebrate.

Today as promised, the video review for the new hidden gem:

📍Nonna Bella Catering at 52 New Driftway in Scituate MA

Nonna Bella is definitely going to be topping the charts soon with its generous portion sizes, good pricing, and lovely family atmosphere. Their chicken vodka parm, although in my opinion isn’t a vodka, is huge, well seasoned, and has big flavor from a perfectly fried cutlet and a homemade tomato sauce. I honestly can’t wait to sink my teeth into more of their sandwiches and I hope to get their name out there. What do you guys think about Nonna Bella?
