Born in 1971 in Decatur, Illinois, this bluegrass-country singer, songwriter and fiddler released her first solo album in 1987 and then was invited to join the band, Alison Krauss and Union Station, in which she still performs in. She recorded 'Raising Sand' with Robert Plant in 2007 which was nominated for and won 5 Grammys at the 51st Grammy Awards.
